Farm Offerings
We work with nature as much as possible to provide for our animals and crops.
On our 5 acre farm in Passadumkeag, our free ranged chickens lay eggs that are claimed to be the tastiest from our customers experience.
We have worked hard to make sure that we are reputable and provide our customers with the quality you deserve. By being an Animal Welfare Approved certified farm by A Greener World, it shows our commitment for transparency and our respect for your value. This the only label in the U.S. to require audited, high-welfare production, transport and slaughter practices. This means our chickens live out their free range and cage free lives by getting to play and dig in the dirt and catch the sun’s rays.
Please call to find availability, to setup delivery or stop by our farm stand when in season. At this time, we offer no u-pick options.
Find our certified Animal Welfare Approved eggs at Ampersand & The Local in Orono and Tiller & Rye in Brewer! With our certification and annual audit by A Greener World, we are also listed as the only Maine egg producer on the ASPCA’s website.

Our family has provided many years of volunteer work and giving back to the community. From Scouting, to near 15 years in fire/EMS, to behind the scenes work with local and national nonprofits and cooperative extension, we have prided ourselves on helping.

Heritage
River Basin Farms, LLC is along side of the Penobscot River. However, River Basin is not only important in where our farm is, but the thought was also to include a little of our owner/operator into the name. R from River is represented to her married name Rossignol, and B from Basin is represented to her maiden name, Braggins.
Egg CSA
We are offering Egg CSAs.
We deliver Eggs to Husson University, UMaine Orono and will arrange pickup from our farm.

Farm Stand – Closed for 2023
We offer a farm refrigerator in our bay of our garage to house our delicious eggs. We accept Paypal, Venmo, or there is a cash box. This is an honor system, but we do monitor for honesty!
